There is NOTHING wrong with having a Mosque at Ground Zero.

Just as long as it is ok for them to build a Christian Church, Hindu, and Buddhist Temples, a Church of Scientology, and that one wacko who built a whole religion around aliens coming down to pick the people up!

Equal rights is the way we see religion in this Country, no exceptions. Just because a bunch of Muslim Extremists have gotten their way lately doesn't mean that it is ok to punish the normals in that religion, who stand far apart from the extremists.

Under the idea that "Muslims attacked here so they shouldn't be allowed to build a mosque", well the Nazis were Christian, and they devastated not just two office buildings, but all of London! So should it have been made illegal to build Christian Churches in London because it would be like building a victory for the Nazis who worshiped the Christian god?

Not everyone who died in that attack was Christian, in fact many were Muslims themselves, or of a completely different religion. Muslims and Christians alike use religion to motivate their base, but the truth is they are fighting over anything but it! It mostly comes down to land, and policy. The two sides simply don't agree on it. They are angry over what they see as theft of their lands, and imposing on them, honestly I find it hard for me to disagree. If you think we have a Nanny state here, just look at how time we spend trying to control the Middle East, a place where our people need not live.

Muslims are really mad about one thing. We took their land away from them by force, only because they surrendered to Hitler, when anything else was certain death!

So many people are pro Israel, but when we get to the point of "Do you think that it was ok to take the Palestinians land and give it to the Jewish? If so Why?"

I don't believe there is a reasonable way to answer yes.

I even notice that sometimes people jump on to a religious boat saying "The Jewish people originally owned that land! God promised it to them in the Bible!" I feel very strongly that those people are idiots. They are repeating the very same ignorant mentality that started these wars, and keep them going to this very day!

What Gives Us The Right? Nuclear Power.

For a country who claims to know a lot about safe nuclear policy, we sure don't know a whole lot about Nuclear science. Very few people grasp the idea of Uranium Enrichment. When we hear about Iran Enriching uranium to make a bomb, what we don't realize is that they need to get about 90% enriched uranium in order to make a working bomb. Even the core of Little Boy contained 64 kg of uranium, of which 50 kg was enriched to 89%, and the remaining 14 kg at 50%, with enrichment averaging 80%, and that was developed in 1944!
You do not need the same amount of enrichment to fuel a nuclear power plant. As of now Iran can only make what is known as Low Enriched Uranium or LEU, which means enrichment of under 20%. LEU is most commonly used in Light water reactors, in which it is only enriched 3-5%!
Not only is LEU unable to make a nuclear bomb, it is also not able to explode in the same way a nuclear bomb does, which is the key reason that a nuclear power plant could never possibly explode like a nuclear bomb! It simply is not possible.
The worst thing that we know could happen to a nuclear power plant is a "Melt Down". The core of the power plant containing the radioactive materials is constantly being cooled by water. If the core is to become so hot that the cooling system is unable to contain it, it will begin to have a Melt down. The core becomes a massive hot ball of molten uranium of temperature so high they destroy all containment systems. The Core would then be exposed, presenting immediate danger to anybody in the vicinity. Every time in the past that is as far as the reactor made it before cooling, but in theory it could continue to burn hotter and hotter and burn a whole to the center of the Earth.
Even if all this happened, it would not explode, and no one would be hurt except people within 50 miles or so, depending on the size of the area. Of course the effects do not subside so quickly.

One of the best examples of the dangers of nuclear power is The Chernobyl Disaster. It resulted in a severe release of radioactivity due to a power excursion that destroyed one of the site's reactors. Most fatalities from the accident were caused by radiation poisoning. On April 26, 1986, reactor number four at the Chernobyl plant, near PrypiaƄ in the Ukrainian, had a meltdown. The resulting fire sent a plume of radioactive fallout into the atmosphere and over an extensive geographical area. Four hundred times more fallout was released than had been by the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Helicopter and airplane pilots who flew over it died only days later. Large areas in Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia had to be evacuated, with over 336,000 people relocated. However, there were fewer than 50 direct deaths (including nine children with thyroid cancer) and it was estimated that there may be 4,000 additional cancer deaths over time among the approximately 600,000 most highly exposed people. Although most of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone are now safe to inhabit, Other places closer to the plant remain Ghost towns, left just as they were that fateful day in 1986.

Now I write this because I was listening the idiots on MSNBC to try and talk about Nuclear issues, and it was clear to me that not only do they not know what they are talking about, but they think they do!
Anyone who thinks a Nuclear Power plant is in any way related to a Nuclear Bomb as to how they work, simply doesn't know anything about nuclear power to begin with.

So here is my question, considering that nearly our entire country does not understand nuclear issues, what right do we have to regulate it in other countries?

I Hate them with a Passion

It's in our nature to hate something we don't understand that continues to flourish. Insurance companies are one of those things. In 2009 State Farm Insurance, Florida’s largest insurance company, threatened to leave the State and it’s customers that live there high and dry, when the Florida regulators refused to force a 47% property rate increase on property. When the State refused to impose this on their citizens, the Insurer dropped many of Florida’s clients who had done nothing wrong. People that had paid thousands of dollars into the insurance industry watched it pick up and walk away with their hard earned money.
Our Government was never meant to protect us from a threat such as this. Large companies who make their own rules and many times out control the Government!
A 2007 Investigation concluded State Farm and Allstate Insurance have increased their disputed claims with their own customers. They tell the customer to take a mere $50 for their losses, and that if they refuse, the court battle will be long, expensive, and hopeless. Regardless of State Farms “Clueless Denial” act, states like Louisiana and Mississippi investigated, and concluded that State Farm wrongly denied claims stemming from Hurricane Katrina.
Lastly as the most obvious accost to the American way, during the Katrina Trials Mr. Richard F. “Dickie” Scruggs attempted a to bribe Judge Henry Lackey of Mississippi with $50,000 in exchange for a favorable verdict for his company. Even after acts such as this State Farm insurance and many others like it have still not been indicted on criminal charges.

Progressive insurance has friendly woman in their commercials, but did you know in 2007, in order for them to spy on customers who filed claims against them, they hired Private investigators to disguise themselves as members of a Church congregation that the customers attended! After being caught, Progressive insurance apologized before being sued for violation of privacy!
The truth is that while the insurance companies are the scum of our society, they can only exist to make a profit. If you give them your money there is at least a 50.1% chance you won’t get as much back. After all State Farm Arena, a $23,000,000 complex, had to be paid for somehow! The companies simply must operate, which costs money. This is one of the only businesses you don’t trade currency for a service or good. You literally pay money, for money.
If I grow Oranges then I can give you the Oranges I have in exchange for capital, but if all I have in capital, and I have no goods, or services to offer, then the only way for me to exist is to make more capital, from my existing capital. This is much the same business model as a casino, or the mafia.

The only way to fight against this tyranny is to eliminate our hands from their market. They may be large and powerful, but State Farm and companies like it need income.
Recently, because of healthcare, this has exploded into a huge debate. While insurance companies are already able to tie their services to government entities, such as requiring insurance for licensed drivers, they have not achieved more than a push. The recent healthcare bill requires that anyone of legal age acquire health insurance or face a yearly IRS Penalty. In other words, you either buy the insurance, or pay for it anyway without getting it! Normally such an idea of a public mandate to buy into a corporate enterprise would seem un-American, but this is 2010!
Now I have to admit, if I were a fisherman, an idea for a law that forces everyone to eat fish daily might sound like a good idea for my life! The people who planted Corn, and raised cows would be disappointed, but who cares about them right, I’m only responsible for MY bottom line.
If anyone you knew openly worked with this attitude you wouldn’t want to do business with them, but as insurance companies know, you don’t have a choice. Right now the country belongs to them, proven by the fact that they are almost always able to do whatever they want, regardless of public opinion. They hold the rest of us hostage, by causing rates to be too hard to pay in the first place, and embedding themselves into our countries law just like ringworm to your flesh.

Shut up, About The Doc, with the Sign in His Window.

Us Americans sure make ourselves look stupid when we take something like this seriously.

First of all this man isn't the only Urologist in town, if you don’t like what he thinks why don’t you just go to someone else?

Secondly the man has never denied a patient service, especially on the grounds that they voted for Obama, the sign was there to make a political point.

Was it “Professional” oh him to do this, not really, but does he deserve an interview on CNN for it? The only bad thing that hes done is talk about politics in an inappropriate setting, don’t you think we are rewarding that by broadcasting his political opinion in a forum most people with good ideas can’t get into?

This should be a non issue, being a doctor does not exclude you from the right to free speech, and although his partners and customers may hold him to a higher standard, it’s not our job! It’s his company, he is allowed to run it the way he likes, and if he really does enjoy mixing politics with healthcare, then I bet he won’t be a very successful Urologist for much longer.

If you lived there, I'm not saying it wouldn't be noteworthy, but it certainly isn't local news worthy, and to see it on CNN, FOX and even the Nightly News regularly shows how disfunctional we are.

I'm back and have Plenty to say!

After pondering it for a long time, I've come to the conclusion that nobody can give you freedom. By human nature we are programmed to push around one another to obtain our ends. The strongest are to survive, and the weak are to perish from the gene pool.
From there we have a very stark fork in the road. We either admit that we are animals at heart and hurt one another on a daily bases, or we attempt to trump our own nature, and do what is right for everyone. Whether or not the latter is possible has been a debate going on for centuries.
The first thing we need to do is to understand that we are all stuck on this rock together. Not only are we different, but we are destined to be different, see differently, feel differently, and see differently. It is no surprise that we do not always see eye to eye, because the truth is we are all different animals.
People disagree with you because they are different than you. Their perspective, the way they see the world, is different. If you saw the world differently than you do, than wouldn't you change your opinions on some things? We are all just doing the best we can to judge things with the information we have available.
Someone who has never had vast amounts of wealth will look at it as an absurdity, because in their experience they have never needed that amount of wealth to live life. This is a valid point. Someone who has always had wealth would not understand why someone would live without it, after all how could they. Imagining something you have never experienced is scarcely accurate, and ill advised. The fact is that we are dynamic beings, and regardless of our living conditions we always find a way to be troubled.
Some people don’t know how it feels to fire a weapon, because they never have. That is 100% fine. The problem comes in when those people start deciding how guns are to be fired. This does not work well because they don’t really have any real world knowledge to back up their beliefs.
The same is going for our Government right now, many people that are making decisions on the Economy, and Health Care do not have a well rounded perspective. How is one to help a poor person if they themselves have never been poor? Many Congressmen have never had to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps.
Lots of people never use drugs until they get sick. Once pain controls your life you understand why people do drugs. To the person that does the drug, the drugs itself is a lesser evil compared to the pain. There are millions of reasons someone’s life can be so painful they need to distort it to live it. As chilling as it is, it is a reality for many people on this planet. Someone who hasn’t used drugs, many times will have never had a need to, therefore they are unable to understand the situation.
Remember next time you wonder what is wrong with someone else, that you aren’t in their shoes, and you probably wouldn’t want to be. The main thing we have to do to avoid conflict is to not carve policies around our own personal experiences, and instead upon what makes sense. If someone has the desire to do something, as long as it doesn’t infringe on another’s rights, they should be left alone. The people like a government that works around them, not through them.

Early Voting, Halloween and Assasination

If you live in Florida like I do know that you can now vote early. Don't vote for those congress people who voted for the bail out! Their names are: Alcee Hastings, Ron Klein, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Robert Wexler, Kendrick Meek, Tim Mahoney, Corrine Brown, Allen Boyd, Ander Crenshaw, Adam Putnam, Dave Weldon. DON'T VOTE FOR THESE PEOPLE. These people don't deserve to be in office.
It is looking like Barack Obama is going to win the presidency. Now, John McCain has come from behind before and I don't deny that he could do it again, but Obama is looking strong and it doesn't seem likely that McCain could triumph over this one.
Lets make one thing clear about the bail out. More Democrats voted for it than Republicans. Barack Obama and John McCain both voted for it. If you want to vote Bailout Free you are going to have to vote Nader or Barr on the presidency. I am not sure how I plan to vote, but I may vote Nader or Barr, the bail out is just that wrong.

On a lighter note, Halloween is tomorrow and I suggest that everyone have a nice safe time trick or treating, especially with your children. Halloween is a great American holiday ,but like anything else its important to be safe. Don't let kids go out alone especially young ones. Be Sure that you stay in well lit areas and go in a good neighborhood.

Two men planned an attack on Obama a few days ago. They have been arrested and are now being charged. The only thing that is scarier than this is the people applauding them for doing it. Let me state something very clearly, Killing is never the right way to deal with a problem. I don't care what Obama does, it doesn't make it right to kill him, or even ok. It is never ok to kill someone. If you are the least bit religious I don't see how you can be ok with the mention of killing. If we don't like someone we don't vote for them, that is how our society works, and if you don't like it you can move somewhere where killing is the way things are dealt with, like Iraq. It sickens me to hear good Americans acting as if these two had the right idea.

With all of this talk about how bad our choices are for president many people have decided not to vote. Please, go out and vote, for if anything, to get the congressmen out of office who voted for the bail out. You don't have to vote for the presidency, but please go out there and send those congressmen a harsh message by sending them out of office.

After the Second Debate

Watching the second debate made me realize two things. First of all that the bailout was a huge mistake; we should have fought that thing, all they basically did was give CEOs a lot of money. I know a whole lot of people who really needed a bail out when they lost their homes, let me give you an example. I have a good friend who is now 54 and is living in his office. The reason for this is that he got sick; he was diagnosed with liver cancer. He did not have health insurance, being a successful businessman health coverage was not included in such a thing. Because of the cancer he was unable to make the payments and lost his home. He could have really used a bailout about then, he worked hard his whole life and because of one stretch of bad luck he went down hard. It sickens me to hear about us bailing out CEOs when we couldn’t bail out good Americans like him first. We should let those companies who made bad decisions go down, that is how capitalism is suppose to work. We should help our own working citizens before we even consider helping a wealthy CEO.

The second thing I noticed is that neither one of these candidates are going to fix this problem. In fact neither of them are going to do anything to change America. They never answer a question, they lie and lie and lie. They are politicians just like everyone before them was. Whoever wins this election, it really won’t make a difference, you can bet on the same old crap that you are used to.
